Venue Spotlight: The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm

We want to let you know about some of our favourite Wedding Venues in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, so have a series of blog posts shining a spotlight on some of the best out there.


Today we are looking at The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm, a stunning venue in rural Bedfordshire. Set on the vast landscape of Wild Berry Farm this wonderful wedding venue has been handpicked by their team for its beautiful waterside location.

What is included?


The site and basics

At The Lakeside they have core venue packages - for the site this includes:

  • 4 days site hire

  • planning guidance

  • luxury toilets

  • power

  • festoon and fairy light package

  • on the day coordination

  • drinking water

  • fully stock & staffed bar service

  • car parking

  • use of the broader farm for photography

~ We think that is a lot and is great value for money.


Catering & drinks

Catering and drinks packages are also available and include:

  • bespoke menu consultation

  • complimentary food tasting at The Sun Inn

  • crockery, cutlery & linen napkins

  • mobile catering kitchen

  • full service team

~ We believe that the food provided from The Sun team is second to none and with many produce from Wild Berry Farm itself and other local suppliers you get outstanding quality ingredients.

What is not included?


Structure:

We are proud to be the preferred supplier at The Lakeside but you are free to choose a different supplier should you wish. This is something that you will need to take the lead on yourselves.


The Lakeside offers help with all aspects of planning a wonderful event, you just need to be aware that if you wish to add things which are not included in the packages these will carry an extra cost. This is the same at any venue though and The Lakeside offers great value for their existing packages.


Is it exclusive use?


Yes, you have exclusive use and you get the added benefit of using the wider farm for photography purposes.





What we love about The Lakeside:


  • Stunning setting on the waterfront meadows, with unrestricted views across the lake.

  • A 3 acre meadow provides sufficient space for your structures and allows for camping on site.

  • A top class team behind all aspects to make sure your event runs without a hitch.

  • The benefit of amazing in house food offering exclusive food and drinks packages.

  • A beautiful area by the jetty which is perfect to hold a celebrant led ceremony.

  • Outstanding quality food offer.

  • Pet friendly, if you want your pets to be part of your day they are welcome along!

  • The option for "stayovers" along with the possibility to add all the extras you may want to go with that - like breakfast and showers for guests.

  • The luxury of a "stayover" option at The Sun Inn in Felmersham, less than a mile away.




A stunning rural Bedfordshire Wedding Venue.


This venue is really dear to us, the team we work with there have become great friends. Being so local to us means it also reduces our carbon footprint which is extremely important to us and we know that The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm hold a similar ethos. In an ideal world all our jobs would be so close. We count ourselves very lucky to be their preferred marquee supplier.
